I began photography mostly by accident when I was in college. I had always enjoyed photography but could not justify the cost. As digital photography began to catch up with film I bought a digital camera to photograph friends and events, capture those candid moments in life.

After I graduated my parents amazingly sprung for a family trip to Europe. It was my first chance to really use a camera. At the time my 3.1MP camera seemed plenty enough and during a three week trip I took around 5000 photos. Upon returning stateside and looking at the photos I'd realized I caught the bug. Some of the photos were good, a lot of people loved them and I knew I enjoyed every second of taking them.

From that trip on I have been upgrading equipment every time I have money to. From a 3.1MP camera, to a 8MP, to my first SLR, on and on until today, I currently shoot with my trusty Canon 5D MkII, a long way away from where I started once ago.
